I am Joana Lopes, a Portuguese visual development artist based in the Netherlands. I create atmospheric environments and worlds that sit between reality and something more emotional and surreal. I focus on mood, color, light, and the small visual details that make a place feel alive even in quiet moments.

As an artist I am drawn to projects with strong visual direction and a sense of emotional storytelling. I enjoy shaping the tone and character of a world and exploring how environment design can communicate feelings without relying on dialogue.
